Sharing a moment of joy
On Tuesday, 8th June 2010, Yeshi Wangdi, one of our students from the 1st class, who graduated in 2005, visited the school to express his profound gratitude and appreciation for all the support and education that he has received from the school. As a token of gratitude he made a donation of Nu.5000.- ( equivalent to USD 111) to the school. He also shared with the students the importance of completing the programs and how it improved his opportunities in the job market and enabled him to get better jobs. He also talked to them about his work experience.

Yeshi Wangdi is from Jala, Wangdiphodrang (central Bhutan). His parents got divorced when he was 2 years old. Later, both his parents got remarried and he couldn’t get proper care and love from his step father and mother. His father has many small children from his second wife and Yeshi Wangdi had to stop his studies to look after them. Yeshi was introduced to CTAS by his uncle Gyeltshen and he was in the first class who started at the school in 1999. Today Yeshi is a very proud and responsible person. He feels he had made the right decision coming to CTAS and to be able to be the person he is now. He is running a painting contract business and has earned a good reputation for his work. He is doing very well in his life.

Yeshi’s success story has brought much appreciation among the teachers and students. Particularly the students were very delighted of his coming to school and presenting his generous contribution to the school. It was also welcome news for our students when Yeshi said he also look forward to employing our students and assisting them in any possible ways he could. It was a moment of pride and happiness for all of us who have worked tirelessly for the success of this project and experiencing such a successful outcome just bought HUGE smiles on everyone’s face.
