Final Year Study Tour 2011

The final year students of CTAS have just returned from their study tour around Bhutan, visiting historical sites like Dzongs, temples, souvenir production centers, contemporary art studios, national painting school and other areas of interest and significance. This is an annual program organized by the school for the final year students to give them exposure and to make them learn the practical use and significance of all the traditional arts and crafts skills that they learn at school. The study tour is also an incentive for all final year students who have successfully completed their trainings at the school.

The study tour was organized from 21st Nov till 30th Nov, 2011 covering 6 districts of Bhutan. This final year trip is sponsored by Alan & Patricia Bickell, USA and Arianne Moser & family, Switzerland.

A total of 9 students (6 students from wood carving and 3 students from painting section) together with one teacher took part in the study tour.  The students upon their return said that it was a very good exposure trip and that they had learned a lot from this trip.
