GRADUATION CEREMONY- 2011

This year, nine students, three students from the painting section and six from the carving section, successfully graduated from the school. The graduation farewell dinner and cultural program was held on 3rd December, 2011 at the school. The graduates expressed their sincere gratitude towards all supporters and the school for giving them this opportunity to learn and be a productive member of society. The certificate for the graduates will be awarded during the School Foundation in May.

At the farewell dinner, Dawa Penjor, one of the graduating students, described his experience as follows:

Respected teachers, parents and my beloved friends,

On this special occasion I Dawa Penjor from 7th year painting section on behalf of my graduating friends would like to thank you all for spending your valuable time in organizing this cultural program and taking part in this memorable event tonight.

It was a great opportunity for me and my friends to study at CTAS. I joined this school in 2005 and when I first joined I was not sure how I would perform and secure my livelihood from this profession. Today standing here after completing the entire 7 years program I am confident that I am employable in the market. With all the knowledge and skills that I have acquired from the school, I stand out a different person full of confidence and ready to take on tasks and be a productive citizen. I am content and feel very fortunate to have joined this school and apart from earning my livelihood from this skill, I will also be contributing to the preservation and promotion of our art and culture, which is fundamental in promoting Gross National Happiness, a development goal of our country.

I would like to thank from the bottom of my heart to all our supporters, Dasho Choki, teachers and everyone for giving us this opportunity, without which I would not be the person that I am today. Thank you everyone and we will always remember your kindness and good times we enjoyed in this school.

We would like to advice our younger friends to work hard and not to leave the school without completing the entire program. There is a big difference and much better opportunities if we acquire all the skills, which is possible only by completing the entire program. Only now I see the difference…..also in terms of monetary benefits that in-depth learning makes. We advise you to have patience and complete the program successfully and good wishes for your graduation as well.

Thank you and Tashi Delek!
