CTAS celebrates its 10th Foundation day
On 17th May, 2010, CTAS celebrated its 10th school foundation day at the school campus in Kabesa. His Excellency, Lyonpo Dorji Wangdi, Minister for the Ministry of Labour and Human Resources graced the occassion. All the well wishers and supporters of CTAS from within Bhutan and abroad came together to share the great moment of CTAS's 10th foundation day celebration and the formal start of girls being admitted to the school.


The Principal in her address to the gathering informed about the progress of the school over the years and , mentioned that CTAS would not have been able to achieve all these successes without the good will and support received from our friends from abroad and within the country. In particular, the principal expressed her gratitude and sincere appreciation for the generous support and contributions of the Himalayan Youth Foundation. She also thanked all the individual well-wishers and organizations for their dedication and support to the school.

The day also marked the official handing over of the Himalayan Youth Foundation's(HYF) responsibilities to Fontana Foundation. The Vice President of HYF, Mr. David Bidwell stated that for the past three years they had been working to secure the long-term future of CTAS, and he was confident to have found an excellent solution as he handed over the responsibility to Mr. Mario Fontana, President of Fontana Foundation.

The day's program continued with a tour of the school which gave the guest the opportunity to interact with the students, visit the class rooms, watch the exhibitions etc. Later, a cultural performance was organized by the students for the distinguished guests displaying the rich cultural and traditional values of Bhutan. The day ended with the dancing of Tashi Labey, a traditional song praying for the continued peace, prosperity and happiness of all the people gathered for the occasion.
