The final year students of the wood carving section had a three day special skills development session from the specialist wood carver (mask making), Mr. Tshagay from the National Institute of Zorig Chusum.  The program took place 7th – 9th November at the school.  This special program is organized only during the final year of a course when the school invites professionals and specialists from different institutes and organizations to come to the school and share their expertise with the students and comment on their work for further improvement.  Meanwhile the final year painting students learned special techniques for kilkhor mandala painting from Lopen Tobgay, a master artist in the Bhutan using 100% natural earth color.
